Print of "Runner, Runner"; strong woman running, grayscale
This is a print of a large-scale painting that I did for the window of lululemon to celebrate the Pittsburgh Marathon 2017. The painting depicts a strong, muscular woman running. She has a tattoo of a phoenix on her torso.
The original painting measured 5' x 8' and could be seen for a whole city block. The prints are available in standard frame sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 16x20.
The artist's statement that hung next to this piece read:
"Artist Victoria Bradley ran the Pittsburgh Marathon in 2013. She still calls it the proudest day of her life, and draws powerful parallels between art and athleticism: 'When we study the body, and glorify it, we can achieve something truly beautiful.'
Still someone who loves to run, Bradley might just as easily be spotted on the trails in Frick Park as she would in her Wilkinsburg studio — smiling, in both cases, with paint in her hair."
