Print** Charcoal drawing, portrait of woman with dangling earring, "She Implores," 8x10
This is a print, made from an original charcoal drawing I did of a woman, looking earnestly. Her brow is furrowed, and her lips are open. She's wearing a sparkly earring, and her dark hair fades into the texture of the background. She is nude, but only one shoulder is exposed.
The original drawing was done on a tawny colored antique paper, and the print retains the warm color (not true white). You can also see a thin pencil-line grid on the print. I often grid a portion of my pieces to maintain proportion, and I left them in this case — to let you in on the process.
The original was 8x10, and it prints nicely at this size, on a thick, textured Somerset Velvet paper.
The mat and frame, pictured here, are not included.
